Aam Aadmi Party today exposed the open corruption under the nose of PM Modi. The BJP-ruled MCD had approved a bridge in 2006 with a budget of Rs 55 crore, but despite spending Rs 87 crore, the bridge has not been constructed even in 2022. AAP MLA and MCD in-charge Mr. Durgesh Pathak said, “The underbridge was to be built by 2010 in Sadar Bazar area of Kishanganj, Railway, but its construction started only in 2022. Corruption is happening under PM Modi’s nose, so far 87 crores has been spent on the bridge with a budget of 55 crores, the bridge should be built at the earliest and corrupt officials should be arrested at the earliest.” Senior AAP leader, MLA from Rajinder Nagar and MCD in-charge Mr. Durgesh Pathak while addressing an important press conference at party headquarters on Sunday said, “Today I am going to expose such corruption of BJP ruled MCD which underlines the entirety of BJP. Tenure under PM Modi. Corruption only seems to increase time and again under our beloved PM Modi. PM Modi’s BJP ruled MCD is cheating the people of Delhi. Whatever MCD Delhi announces, it is a victim of corruption He said, “In 2006, when there was talk of organizing the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, several development projects were approved in Delhi.
At the same time, railway underbridge was to be built in Sadar Bazar area of Kishanganj located in Wazirpur assembly. The bridge was completed in 2006 and was to be inaugurated in 2010. 4 box bridge was to be built, but today work is going on only on the first box in 2022. The other interesting thing is that the cost of the bridge was fixed at Rs 55 crore, but till now Rs 87 crore has been spent on it. At that time many leaders inaugurated it on different occasions and distributed laddoos several times. It was also inaugurated by former Mayor Jai Prakash ji and MP from Chandni Chowk.” He concluded, “This matter should be investigated. Obviously, when the MCD had kept the cost of the bridge at Rs 55 crore, they would have also put Rs 2-4 lakh in it to feed the politicians. That is, the work would have actually been 40-45 crores, in which 10-15 crores more would have been added. So far Rs 87 crore has been spent on this. It is said that after the arrival of PM Modi, the people of BJP are charging a lot of money. It is my humble request that this bridge should be completed at the earliest. Also, those who put money in the project should be arrested at the earliest.”
